The Representative Plaintiffs

"Representative Plaintiffs" are the individuals who come forward to act on behalf of the entire "class" of individuals affected by a given policy, practice or condition.

In this case, two representative plaintiffs have come forward to act on behalf of all Ontario community college students attending publicly-funded programmes or courses.
Amanda Hassum, Conestoga College
Amanda is 20 years old and a resident of Cambridge, Ontario. She has attended Conestoga College from September 2005 to May 2007, where she was enrolled as a full-time student in the Advertising programme.

Daniel Roffey, George Brown College
Daniel Roffey is 26 years old and a resident of Toronto, Ontario. He attended George Brown College from September 2004 to April 2006, where he was enrolled as a full-time student in the Early Childhood Education programme which was offered in collaboration with Ryerson University. Daniel graduated from his programme in April 2006.
